Who We Need

How to Succeed
- Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.
- Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) preferred.
- Previous experience in acute care hospital, especially in psychiatric ward is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively and empathetically

- Work with team to support the HOD for sector planning of youth mental health services which include review of the sector landscape, planning parameters, and assumption of care models.
- Support the HOD in the strategic implementation of services in the community setting focusing on youth mental health services.
- Integrate youth community mental health-led services into the broader education and healthcare system to enhance population health, in collaboration with the Clusters’ Regional Health System Offices (RHSOs).
- Identify learning gaps and needs of CMH SPs and work with stakeholders i.e. IMH-CHAT, ASCAT teams, SSI and national Mental Health Competency and Training workgroup to establish training roadmaps and develop relevant resources to enable SPs to provide quality care for their clients and caregivers.

- Lead in the review and alignment of mental health assessment tools and client care pathways for youth populations, while representing AIC in the interagency and national platforms.
- Manage budgets and monitor programme effectiveness through evaluation efforts by coordinating, collating and tracking the outcome measures and performance indicators.
(2) Support HOD to oversee the strengthening of the Youth Mental Health capability strategy in the community mental health sector.
- Identify community providers’ learning needs and work with Capability Development team and the psychiatrist to develop mental health capability building strategies and modules to enhance the service delivery system for youth mental health in community setting.
- Review effectiveness of community mental health programmes and including outcomes and learning points for long term programme planning.
(3) Manage collaborations with youth mental health sector to strengthen service delivery system.
- Work with HOD and relevant stakeholders to explore innovative service modalities to reach out to youth population groups to enhance access to services.
- Work with HOD to update senior management, NMHO and relevant stakeholders on the progress of youth mental health in the community and primary care to influence the direction for sector development and service planning.
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related discipline, with preference for mental health qualification.
· At least 8 years’ experience in healthcare or community care sectors with 2 years in managerial capacity.
· Prior experience in youth mental health in the hospital setting would be an advantage.
