Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and perform Know-Your-Customer (KYC) reviews (new client onboarding), including conducting KYC periodic reviews
  • Collaborate with different Business Departments to assess KYC documentation requirements for clients, including advising and providing guidance on KYC-related matters
  • Review and evaluate daily screening alerts generated by KYC system (e.g recent adverse events, sanctions events or Politically Exposed Persons (PEP))
  • Assist in generating reports to present Key Risk Indicators (KRI) to management
  • Contribute and assist in ad-hoc projects undertaken by the Compliance Team (e.g Remediation efforts, Audits, AML/CFT Trainings for employees, UAT testing for new systems)
  • Demonstrate adaptability and promptness in adjusting to new Anti- Money Laundering (AML) policies, processes, and system knowledge

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business or other relevant qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years of KYC/AML experience in the Financial industry with an understanding on SOW /SOF. Able to perform due diligence during onboarding with experience in conducting KYC for corporate entities (e.g Banking Financial Institutions, / Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI), Funds, SMEs, Government Entities)
  • Solid understanding of MAS’ AML/CFT regulatory requirements
  • Proactive and problem-solver who is creative, with ability to adapt and improvise accordingly
  • Meticulous and sensitive in handling clients’ information
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment

We are looking for a talented, independent and collaborative team player to join our Corporate Banking Compliance - Customer Due Diligence ("CBC-CDD") team. This role is for a Business Compliance Manager, reporting into CBC-CDD. The candidate's main responsibilities are listed as follows and will be primarily responsible to ensure that quality standards are met in accordance with the bank's group policies & procedures and regulatory requirements.

What you do:

1. Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD)/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) review on Global Corporate Banking customers
2. Ensure completion of Periodic Reviews within stipulated timeframe and in line with Bank's policy and procedures
3. Work closely with Relationship Managers to gather client documents/information required to complete the periodic review.
4. Conduct research via available Bank systems, commercial databases as well as public sources

Who you are
  • Preferably at least 5-6 years of experience in a KYC analyst role in a Financial Institution, preferable in the corporate banking environment
  • A good understanding of money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions issues, including policies, procedures, sanctions, regulations, industry best practice, developing trends and knowledge of trade finance transactions reviews are required. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess compliance risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and basic Chinese
  • Is mature and able to work under pressure and meet timelines
  • Professional certification such as ICA or ACAMS would be an added advantage

Corporate Banking Compliance ("CBC") was established to centralise anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) Compliance functions for the Singapore business units within Global Corporate Banking. CBC will optimise common AML/CFT Compliance activities across Wholesale Corporate Marketing and Global Real Estate, ensure consistency in KYC CDD processes and best practices for AML/CFT across these departments. CBC also advises and supports the business in managing regulatory risk and controls in FATCA, CRS and sanctions matters.
