Real Estate
The Real Estate team comprises nearly 40 investment professionals, across offices in Toronto, Dallas, London, Sao Paulo and Singapore. The Real Estate Group invests and manages assets across a geographically diverse portfolio of approximately 28 billion with assets in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, including Australia.
The Real Estate team in Singapore consists of 7 investment professionals who manage our APAC real estate portfolio. Our mandate focuses on driving compelling risk adjusted returns by investing in high-quality real estate assets in desirable asset classes and locations.
What you'll do
- You will be involved in assisting the team in analysing potential new investment opportunities, managing our existing investments and will gain the following hands-on experience and training:
- Hone your financial modelling abilities by analysing investment opportunities
- Learn to identify key value drivers and risks for investments and perform related sensitivity and scenario analyses
- Support due diligence exercises
- Prepare valuations, presentations, and reports to senior investment professionals
- Develop and analyse business cases for portfolio company / asset value creation initiatives (debt refinancings, expansion projects, management compensation, on-going budgeting, etc.)
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate with a concentration in investments, finance, or accounting
- Previous intern experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, equity research, INR, or real estate.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
- Familiarity with financial modelling – you are a number whiz
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and ability to perform in-depth analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – you are a people person and love working in a dynamic team
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and initiatives while remaining detail-oriented
- Currently enrolled in your 3rd / 4th year
- You will be returning to your studies after the work term is completed
