Senior Electrical Design Engineer Role

This is a senior electrical design engineer role where you will be responsible for leading the design team to create high-quality power distribution and control systems for our global customers. We are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer who can plan, allocate, and assign jobs to subordinates and ensure that the entire team's assigned project results are met.

• Lead the design team in creating high-quality power distribution and control systems
• Plan, allocate, and assign jobs to subordinates
• Ensure that the entire team's assigned project results are met
• Check and approve design drawings and documents produced by subordinate staffs
• Implement and control the Design Control functions and quality system of the total Quality Management System
• Prepare material requisition lists for job requirements
• Plan and design electrical switchboards, consoles, and control panels according to customer's requirements and standards
• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, final drawings/documents, short circuit calculations, instruction manuals as required for submission to clients and shopfloor production
• Coorperate with clients and consultants on the technical requirements
• Feedback to Sales & Marketing Department for changes of technical requirements by clients for claims of additional costs and time
• Check and follow-up on design and shop drawings with production departments
• Assist and advise Sales & Marketing Department on technical matters; provide technical backup for securing of contracts
• Continuously institute work improvements for the department that will bring cost savings and reduce wastage for the Company

• At least 5 years' electrical design experience in electrical engineering industry
• Knowledge of switchboards/panels (marine or industrial) design is an advantage
• At least Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Further knowledge or experience in any one of the followings is an advantage (DC-grid power system and switchgear control for ship/ VFD control and integration with Azimuth Thruster/ Energy management for Hybrid ship)

The Electrical Services Designer Role

• Develop and execute electrical services design for a range of projects, from conceptual to detail stages, including contract documentation, authority submissions, and site meetings.
• Provide detailed calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications for electrical systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in reviewing and preparing project-specific general and specifications, as well as shop drawing reviews and alternative design proposals.
• Support the delivery of projects and ensure technical deliverables are on-time and within budget.
• Contribute to technical excellence in our Electrical Practice by staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering/building services/construction industry.
• Experience with BIM (Revit) skills, ETAP, VipCoda, ProDesign, Dialux, or willingness to learn computer modelling techniques/tools.
• Working towards professional or chartered engineering status.
• Understanding of local regulatory and code requirements.
• Motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

• Analyze project requirements. Design, develop and test industrial robotic equipment/machine.
• Design electrical control system make electrical schematic drawings using E3 . (ePLAN knowledge will be added advantage) .
• Source and select control components and place order for the components.
• Execute control system set up, IO system, servo & step drive set up, axis tuning.
