About the Role

Our Strategic Communications team in Singapore provides our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

We are looking for a talented, ambitious individual to join our growing Strategic Communications team in Singapore. We need candidates who have a track record in advising and implementing integrated Corporate Communications programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience of communications agency / consultancy, or in house experience in the broader corporate industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience within PR, AR, as well as with other communications disciplines and marketing functions in the B2B technology industry (ideally with PR agency experience).
Proven track record of developing and driving successful programs, campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives, including experience in content development within a relevant field or industry and ability to consistently deliver creative, original thinking across multiple topics.
Experience in leading a high-performing international team.
Ability to successfully manage and support a network of PR agencies and third-party vendors
Knowledge of/relationships with key industry and business media across APJ as well as relevant analysts as a bonus that has led to impactful, consistent media coverage and results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearhead the APJ communications strategy, driving execution toward desired results.
Adapt clear messaging that supports Veeam’s umbrella awareness and brand reference program.
Oversee the execution of influencer activities across the region, with a specific focus on thought leadership programs and analyst relations, to drive Veeam’s brand visibility and reputation.

Manage regional spokesperson development program in line with corporate messaging and priorities.

As Deputy Director (Marcoms), you will be part of the Corporate Communications team of the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA).

The individual will play a key leadership role in guiding and mentoring a team of officers, building strong relationships across A*STARs research entities, and ensuring that our communications amplify A*STAR's contributions to Singapore's economy and national priorities.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on communications experience, has a strong instinct for identifying impactful stories, and can provide clear direction and counsel on communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.
Key Responsibilities
Team leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of Managers/Senior Managers to deliver high-quality, impactful communications outcomes.
Stakeholder engagement:
Build trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners (media, government agencies, and industry) to facilitate effective communications and collaboration.
Strategic planning:
Develop and oversee integrated communications strategies to promote A*STAR's R&D outcomes and partnerships, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
Media and publicity management:
Oversee media engagement and publicity efforts, providing strategic direction on story development, media pitching, and issue management.
Issues and crisis communications:
Anticipate potential communications risks and lead the formulation of timely and effective responses.
Strategic counsel:
Provide guidance to senior management and research entities on all aspects of corporate communications, including branding, media relations, social media, and executive engagements.
This role reports to the
Deputy Director, Corporate Communications .
Requirements
At least
8 to 10 years of experience
in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields, including experience managing a team.
Proven ability to develop and implement integrated communications strategies across multiple channels.
Demonstrated track record in strategic media engagement and stakeholder management.
Excellent communicator with strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex science and technology topics into relatable narratives.
Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
