Overview

You will be part of the Advisory Services team that promotes upskilling and career development and lifelong learning to various segments of individuals and enterprises through physical and digital touchpoints. Your role will involve managing and analysing data to continuously improve the quality of skill and career advisory. You will need to leverage insights from trends, performance metrics and stakeholder feedback to continually ensure that Advisory Services maintain standards of excellence.

Data Management & Analysis

• Lead or support data-driven quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing advisory services
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on data governance matters to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards
• Review and manage case entries and other data sources to ensure integrity and usability for insights generation
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights
• Prepare monthly reports and presentations for internal and/or external stakeholders on identified trends and insights
• Work with other team members to act on insights to improve advisory services continuously

Other

• Support event deployment on an ad-hoc basis
• Handle CRM (Client Relationship Management) cases to address clients' upskilling concerns on an ad-hoc basis
• Coordinate call assignments for Skills Ambassadors
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong organisational and data management skills, with the ability to manage monthly reporting
• Strong interest in data analysis
• Comfortable working with large datasets data visualisation tools (Tableau/ PowerBI) and large language models
• Creative skills to develop visually appealing materials
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and design software for creating materials
• Possess domain knowledge of the CET landscape and labour market (e.g. in-demand skills and job roles) to contextualize and support relevant data analysis will be an advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent business writing and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Ability to converse in Mother Tongue is an advantage

Overview

The Laboratory of Surgical System & Service Innovation (3SI) is a multi-disciplinary laboratory that provides a platform for cutting-edge surgical health services research that informs healthcare systems, policies, and programs to provide high-value, patient centered care for patients and their families undergoing surgery. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, meticulous, and responsible Senior / Research Officer to work closely with a team of experienced researchers and the clinical team in health system, services innovation, and novel surgical technologies research. You will be part of a holistic clinical and health services research team whose mission is to improve clinical outcomes for seriously ill patients in surgery.

Among others, your role will focus on supporting the development and maintenance of surgical registries and databases as well as the design, execution, and publication of high-impact surgical health services research. Research includes those related to real-world surgical outcomes, patient-centred care, health equity, and cost-effectiveness.

1. Database/Registry Development & Maintenance
   • Design and create a data pipeline that meets the pre-specified needs and requirements of projects and maintains its proper function
2. Data Collection, Management, Analysis, Managing data quality
   • Gathering data from various sources and organizing it for analysis
   • Performing statistical and data analysis techniques to generate insights from the data
   • Data quality control – Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data through data validation and cleaning
   • Apply data science/machine learning methods to analyse large datasets
3. Performing exploratory data analysis
   • Performing descriptive analysis to facilitate initial data investigation
   • Summarising and presenting exploratory data analysis results to stakeholders
4. Designing and conducting Artificial Intelligence (AI) related projects
   • Developing/Building a technical AI development plan based on the research question (include machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, deep learning models)
5. Presentations & Data Visualization
   • Analysis Report Generation: Producing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
   • Data Visualization: Creating visual representations of data to effectively communicate insights
   • Preparation of presentation slides and posters for submission to local and international conferences

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Soft Engineering, biomedical science, statistics or any related computational disciplines or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, Java code writing
• Hands-on experience with database design and development
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
• Demonstrated technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Familiarity with healthcare database management systems and processes as well as healthcare data governance policies and regulation will be an advantage.
