About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Court Services Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative and front-line support for court users. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve at the public counter and respond to phone/email queries on court applications and procedures
- Assist self-represented individuals in navigating court application processes
- Process court orders and manage tasks within stipulated court timelines
- Handle high volumes of Probate-related filings via the eLitigation system and ensure timely issuance of grants
- Manage weekly hearing, fixture, and case conference schedules
- Liaise with Judicial Officers to seek directions and follow up on applications accordingly
- Notify relevant parties promptly of upcoming court sessions through appropriate channels
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in administrative, legal, or customer-facing roles

Working Hours:

What you will be working on:
You will be expected to:• Assist the Judges and Judicial Officers in matters affecting cases before the Court of Appeal (CA) and the Appellate Division of the High Court (AD);• Manage cases filed in the CA and the AD through analysing, reviewing, monitoring and processing documents in accordance with the applicable legislation, rules, practice directions, standard operating procedures and policies;• Draft case summaries, reports, notices and general correspondence and liaise with lawyers, self-represented persons and other stakeholders (including external agencies) to facilitate smooth proceedings and the efficient disposal of cases;• Compile, verify and maintain accurate up-to-date case information and statistics on cases, caseload and disposal, preparing reports including providing analysis of the statistics where appropriate;• Review and streamline existing operational processes to improve quality of work and productivity to meet the key performance indicators of the department and the Registry;• Manage and provide support in the development and implementation of operational systems or changes thereto or in administering the operations of the CA/AD Registry;• Review changes in rules of court or practice directions, and make recommendations to address operational or system implications; and• Assist in the functions and work of the Registry in general and as assigned.
What we are looking for:
• A Qualified Person, as defined in the Legal Profession Act 1966, will have an advantage• Preferably with at least 2 – 3 years of working experience in a law practice• Applicants who have legal qualification and working experience in a law practice may also apply• Excellent command of the English language• Good interpersonal and communication skills• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Organised, good with details and meticulous with commitment to deliver high quality work• Able to work under pressure• Pro-active and able to work independently as well as in a team, and work effectively with diverse groupsNote:Applicants who are Qualified Persons are required to submit relevant document(s) that indicate their eligibility as such.The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance.Only short-listed candidates will be notified.
