Job purpose:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing appropriate, timely and effective physiotherapy treatment to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess residents’ needs for therapy and to provide therapy services.
  2. Develop and review treatment programmes for residents.
  3. Write resident care notes and reports and collect statistics.
  4. Supervision of physiotherapy support staff.
  5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of residents as well as to refer residents who require other medical attention.
  6. Periodic checking of physiotherapy equipment and propose requisition where necessary. Ensure proper use of equipment.
  7. Prescription or adaptation of aids, splints and exercise equipment for residents who need special attention.
  8. Initiation and facilitation of group activities for recreation.
  9. Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Min Diploma/ Degree in Physiotherapy. Min 2 years clinical experience is needed.
  2. Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Willing to learn, positive and customer service orientated.
  4. Preferably with industrial knowledge in Work, Health and Safety.
