We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to support the implementation of the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment/services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas. He/ She will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team in carrying out the following work and responsibilities:
- Support with implementation/ assembly/ design/ testing with system or/ and project Engineers.
- Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite.
- Assist and/ or carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client.
- Contribute necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures.
- Work with the team to investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any, in order for the equipment to work to its specifications
- Help out in the timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company/ client format for submission and reporting.
- Work with the Service Department to resolve enquiries, if required.
- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
- Able to work under tight schedule and minimum supervision.
- Able to travel in short notice.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays.
- Good verbal communication skill.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred. Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience.
- Fresh candidates are also welcome as there will be onboard mentorship and On-Job-Trainings (OJT).
