Hilleman Laboratories operates a first-of-its-kind vaccine development hub in Singapore, consisting of a research and development (R&D) facility at Biopolis, alongside a 30,000 square foot pilot-scale manufacturing facility at 138 Depot Road. The hub provides end-to-end product development solutions from concept to pilot manufacturing and Phase II clinical studies, supporting the development of affordable, high-value vaccines and biologics for low- and middle-income countries.

The state-of-the-art R&D facility in Biopolis undertakes process development, analytical development, drug product development and formulation for vaccines and biologics. It focuses on product development of vaccines and biologics, including candidate selection, design, early manufacturing process development and preclinical studies.

As one of the facilities of the dual-feature set up, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility is capable of producing clinical trial material (up to Phase II) and is equipped with drug product fill-&-finish capability. This unique set-up enables the two facilities working in tandem to provide end-to-end product development, leveraging innovative technology platforms to develop affordable, high-value vaccines and biologics. The facility has also been designed to easily pivot to manufacture vaccines for emergency use during pandemics.

Hilleman is a critical connector, bringing together health ecosystem stakeholders for vaccines and biologics R&D and manufacturing. We collaborate with local, regional and global partners and stakeholders, including policymakers and governments, to facilitate wider, affordable access to life-saving vaccines and biologics. Apart from conducting translational research and product development, we also act as a catalyst for advancements in the biopharma industry by facilitating technology transfers, and capability building through manpower development initiatives.

Clinical Research Medical Advisor

About the Role:

As the Clinical Research Medical Advisor (CRMA), your responsibility lies within the development of Global Clinical Trials – this includes medical oversight for all trials, portfolio and/or protocol medical feasibility, scientific engagement of investigators, protocol and TA training for internal and external stakeholders, medical issue or question management, safety review, strategic input in pre-launch planning.

You will drive compliance across all aspects of clinical trials and CRMA related activities. It will be critical to ensure good communication and stakeholder management cross-functionally within the local country organisation as well as between global and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medical oversight of clinical trials across all stages and contribute to operational trial deliverables, according to timelines, quality/compliance, and performance standards.
• Drive portfolio/trial medical feasibility within the Global Development framework and provide country clinical strategic guidance and proposals in collaboration with Study and Site Operations Team and Medical Affairs Team.
• Identify and propose new sites for clinical trials, analyse capability, assess patient pool and country treatment landscape, and make recommendations for potential trial inclusion.
• Provide robust indication and protocol training to CRAs, CSMs, RSMs and other functions in the country as needed.
• Responsible for medical related education, implementation and compliance to protocol, standards (SOPs) and best practices for clinical development within assigned clinical trial(s) and within clinical program(s), including sharing lessons learned.
• Provide medical expertise to clinical/operational activities for patient eligibility, medical question-management, safety, amendments, etc.
• Collaborate cross-functionally for the early product launch planning process to ensure Global Development trials conducted are aligned with the local country strategy.
• Support medical/clinical team discussions with local regulatory interactions as needed.
• Medical Degree (MD, MBBS).
• Proven experience in medical practice or pharmaceutical industry experience with a background in clinical trials/medical affairs/life sciences/research in all aspects of drug development including clinical research, GCP, and local regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects, feasibility conduct and the execution of strategic plans from a medical perspective.
• Outstanding internal and external stakeholder engagement experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in cancer genetics and genomic medicine to join our research team under Associate Professor Joanne Ngeow. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing large-scale genomic and clinical datasets to uncover genetic factors contributing to cancer predisposition and to develop accurate cancer risk prediction models.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in analyzing large-scale genomics datasets. Experience with NGS pipelines and multi-omics integration is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should have familiarity with cancer genomics and functional interpretation of genetic variants. Proficiency in Python, R, or other bioinformatics languages is required, as well as knowledge of cloud computing and high-performance computing environments.

• Integrate and analyze large-scale multi-omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics) to derive biological insights
• Apply statistical and machine learning models to identify cancer risk biomarkers
• Integrate clinical, environmental, and lifestyle data to create predictive risk models
• Develop and implement computational pipelines for analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data (whole genome, exome, RNA-seq)

We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct AI for medicine research. The role will focus on developing foundation models to medical image analysis. Foundation models offer a scalable and adaptable solution for medical image analysis by learning generalizable representations from large datasets, enabling effective application across different imaging modalities and tasks. Their ability to perform well with limited labeled data and adapt quickly to new clinical scenarios makes them a powerful tool for advancing AI-driven diagnostics and improving patient care. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on foundation models for medical image analysis, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and endoscopy.
• Ensure all research activities comply with ethical standards and patient data privacy regulations.
• Support research grant preparation, including literature reviews and preliminary data collection.
• Contribute to research outputs, such as manuscript writing and participation in local and international conferences.
