A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a skilled Chemical Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our process units and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct checks, start-up, and shutdown operations on process equipment such as pumps and compressors.
- Carry out filter changes and isolate piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change, and troubleshooting operations.
- Adjust process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision.
- Commission and decommission process equipment, perform emergency shutdown, and handle non-conforming products.
- Prepare plant equipment for maintenance and chemicals for process operations.
- Perform inter-tank transfers based on established quality procedures.
- Participate in emergency response activities and drills.
Requirements:
- NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.
- At least 3 years' working experience as a Process Technician in a chemical industry.

As a Lead Operation Specialist - Upstream Chemical, you will be responsible for:
Managing and overseeing all aspects of production chemistry supply and service contracts to ensure successful delivery to our customers
Providing on-site technical guidance and support for production operations, process engineering, commercial and operational queries
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing of chemical treatment programs to provide support to the production operations group
Preparing of technical reviews and proposals of new chemical solutions to share with our customers
Organizing routine production chemical reviews and selection activities to verify changing customer needs

Have a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry Science or related fields
Have at least 5 years of experience in Upstream Production Chemicals Application & Operations

Has onshore / offshore operation experience.

Demonstrate computer skills and be familiar with MS Office
