Job Description

SPH Content Lab is looking for an exceptional talent to join our growing content marketing team as Senior Campaign Manager. The ideal candidate excels at strategic thinking, target-focused ideation, and project management. Must. Love. Content.

You must be able to see the big picture while zooming in on the details. This is a job for someone who doesn’t just enjoy managing the complete life cycle of complex, cross-functional content marketing projects across the SPH Media ecosystem, but also spends time on the content strategy – figuring out the best way to solutioning a client brief while thinking about what the audience wants.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Content Marketing, you’ll design, produce and manage multi-format content marketing campaigns that include video, social media, text stories, audio and print. You will be at the forefront of connecting clients to SPH Content Lab’s performance-focused, editorial-driven solutions. You must be passionate about bringing content to life, seeing it through from the initial concept to the final performance report. Experience managing projects and clients is essential.

The ideal candidate is organised, media-savvy, and knows how to problem-solve while managing their time effectively. Our client list is diverse, and so is our content. You must be an experienced idea generator who is passionate about developing stories that will resonate with audiences – always with an eye on the larger goals of the content campaign and how each component of the project impacts the intended KPIs.

Content Lab works with an army of freelancers to bring our concepts to life – you run the show, on time and on budget. Experience with project management and overseeing many moving parts, assignments, and deliverables at once is a necessity. You must be able to work well as part of a team, collaborating with a larger group of editors, creatives, and colleagues from our commercial unit.

A high-level knowledge of news and current affairs is necessary, as well as an understanding of how to present a unique take in a crowded content landscape. The ability to thrive under pressure, manage intense deadlines and collaborate well with others is key.

Experience in video production is preferred.

SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and create fully integrated content marketing strategies that incorporate online and off-line channels.
  • Manage the complete life cycle of custom-solutioned, multi-format, cross-platform content marketing projects across the considerable roster of SPH Media’s news and lifestyle brands. This includes client pitches, project management, client management, performance supervision, and reporting.
  • Contribute to ideation and solutioning of client briefs, and craft pitch decks of the highest standards.
  • Managing internal stakeholders as well as external production partners to make sure a million moving parts produce content that is to brief, on time, and under budget.
  • Turn data and analytics into strategy and action.
  • Mentor junior members of the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience with at least 3 years in editorial, content marketing, social media marketing, advertising or video production.
  • Clear understanding of how content is created across formats and media platforms. Experience in managing content creation on more than two media platforms (digital, social, print, television, radio, etc) is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to devise strategic cross-platform content strategies and concepts.
  • Experience in turning data and analytics into strategy and action. Basic understanding of digital analytics is a must.
  • An extraordinary gift for multitasking. Please be extremely organised and detail-oriented.
  • Be able to work collaboratively and proactively.
  • Excellent English-language verbal and written skills. Proficiency in Chinese, Malay or Tamil is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of Lifestyle industry and consumer trends.
  • Familiarity with SPH’s news products is essential.
  • Must play well with others.
  • Bachelors in Mass Communication, Marketing or related field.
