Role Overview
As a Life Science Intern, you will support the operational teams in launching our immune cell banking platform. You will gain hands-on experience in cell processing, cryopreservation, quality control, and market analysis while contributing to real-world product development.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific & Technical Support
1. Cell Processing & Banking
- ssist in isolating, characterizing, and cryopreserving PBMCs (peripheral blood mononuclear cells) from adult donors.
- Optimize protocols for cell viability, recovery, and stability post-thaw.
2. Quality Control & Assurance
- Perform cell counts, viability assays (e.g., Trypan Blue, flow cytometry), and sterility testing.
- Document procedures and results in compliance with GLP/GMP standards.
3. Lab Operations
- Prepare reagents, maintain equipment (e.g., biosafety cabinets, centrifuges), and manage inventory.
- Adhere to strict safety, bioethical, and regulatory guidelines.
Launch & Business Development
4. Market Research
- Analyze competitor services, pricing models, and target demographics (e.g., oncology patients, longevity enthusiasts).
- Support customer surveys and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) outreach.
5. Operational Workflow Design
- Help map end-to-end processes: from donor enrollment to sample storage and retrieval.
- Troubleshoot logistical challenges in sample transport and tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
6. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Compile experimental data for presentations, whitepapers, or regulatory submissions.
- Visualize trends in cell yield/viability across donor demographics.
7. Regulatory Compliance
- Research FDA/EMA guidelines for cell banking and assist in documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Pursuing a Diploma in Biomedical, or related field.
Technical Skills
- Lab experience: cell culture, aseptic technique, molecular assays (PCR, ELISA), or flow cytometry.
- Familiarity with cryopreservation (liquid nitrogen systems) is a plus.
