Role & Responsibility
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer - Cloud with extensive experience in modern data platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, ELT processes, and big data technologies like Apache Spark.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure, strong programming skills in Java and Python, and a deep understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and governance.
- Architect and design cloud-based data infrastructure to support analytics, machine learning, and reporting needs.
- Lead the development and implementation of data pipelines (ELT/ETL) using Databricks, Spark, and other big data technologies.
- Optimize the use of cloud-native platforms like Snowflake for high-performance data warehousing and analytics.

- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions to automate deployment workflows for Azure-hosted applications.
- Maintain web application security by performing code review and implementing best practices in authentication, authorization, data protection and secure coding.
- Responsible for application integration testing, user acceptance test and implementation roll-out.
- Create user documentation and provide training to end-users.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for existing applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Minimum 1 year of web development working experience.
- Required technical skills:.NET Framework/.NET Core (6+) with proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core (MVC and Web API), Angular (16+), Entity Framework Core with LINQ, MS SQL 2008 and above, T-SQL, Web Services development (RESTfulAPIs), HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, Bootstrap 3, Typescript, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, XHTML/CSS, Git
- Cloud development experience with Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Key Vault, Azure Storage).
- Hands-on experience with application and DB setup on web servers, including secure data encryption.
- Experience creating and managing GitHub Actions workflows, with strong understanding of secure CI/CD practices, including code signing, credential management and integrating security scans into pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web security best practices and common vulnerabilities
- Knowledge in other web programming languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, Webpack, npm, Jest, Jasmine) is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools, particularly Adobe Analytics tagging implementation, is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Good communication and collaborative teamwork attitude.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to perform independently under tight timelines.
