You will works in a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to patients.
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic hearing assessment such as otoscopic examination, tympanometry and pure tone audiometry for patients from various referral modes (FS, NIC and RSC).
- Provide hearing related services such as hearing aid evaluation, hearing aid fitting, and hearing aid follow-up to patients.
- Appropriate referral of patients to other departments whenever necessary such as ENT, MSW, AIC etc.
- Right – siting of stable hearing loss cases from ENT, SGH to Community Hearing Clinic, TBCHC.
- Keeping track of the data for all referral modes.
- Ordering and receiving hearing aids and accessories.
- Liaise with BME and vendors for equipment setup, calibration and maintenance.
- Ensuring the hearing aid software are up to date.
- Assist in audiology – related project, research etc.
- Attend to walk-in, e-mail and phone enquiries from patients.
- Manage day to day audiology schedule.
- Sited in community clinics and/or SGH
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor degree in audiology or Graduate entry Master's in audiology, speech language & hearing or educational audiology

Responsibilities
Clinical duties and competencies
Perform clinical duties related to Audiology service
Prescribe and administer Audiological tests with coordination of test results with other medical, educational, social and behavioural data to differentiate hearing dysfunction from other conditions with similar symptomatology
Conduct rehabilitative programs with the hearing handicapped including counselling and guidance of the hearing impaired and their families, prescription, evaluation and fitting of hearing aids and auditory training
Work within a multidisciplinary team comprising Otologist, Audiologists, as well as other medical practitioners, allied health professionals and stakeholders to provide coordinated audiology services
Provide preventive services and consultation in community clinic setting
Administrative and organisational responsibilities
Assist with administrative duties, such as documentation of department statistics and documentation
Professional and academic contribution
Assist to provide in-service programs to promote Audiological services in TTSH
Assist to plan and administer training program for junior staff
Assist to conduct in-service for medical students and junior doctors
Participate in clinical studies and research in the relevant fields and across disciplines
Qualifications
2 years of experience is preferred, although it is not a prerequisite. Proficient in computer skills and MS Office.
