Key Responsibilities
Line Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that supports the Company's brand and business by delivering a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.
The Aircraft Mechanic performs operational functions under the supervision of Aircraft Engineer ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.
Responsible for:
- Perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers (if applicable) under supervision of the Aircraft Engineer
- Monitor third party supplier's performance (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner
- Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
- Perform station administration and ensure station documentations / passes are up-to-date and valid as directed.
- Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities
- Control stock and housekeeping of the aircraft part store
- Perform local or overseas operational relief duties when required

Qualification/ Experience:
- Min High School graduation (Secondary School)
- Demonstrably aptitude and understanding of aircraft maintenance operations
- Have (or be willing to receive) induction training / on the job training as required

Assists the Engineer with aircraft inspections & documentations
Assists the Engineer with analysing defects and complaints (trouble shooting)
Supervise mechanics in his charge in carrying out the works and duties assigned
Brake rider activities for towing.
2. Maintenance and control of equipment, tools, stores and overall station activities
Performs minor repairs and cleaning activities on tools and equipment
Assists in keeping the store and station tidy and compliant with the rules and regulations
Carry out station related activities and task assigned as delegated
Identifies local opportunities for new contracts
The responsibilities and tasks of the position are not limited to the above mentioned and change might occur in concert with direct Manager.

- Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical or avionics issues, replacing defective components as required.
- Conduct inspection and testing of aircraft systems to ensure compliance with safety and airworthiness standards.
- Support aircraft fueling/defueling, cleaning, and component installations or removals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed in accordance with regulatory and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in on-site or off-site aircraft repair activities.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid CAAS or EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (B1.1 or B2) – Type-rated in any aircraft .
- Minimum 3 years of certifying experience in aircraft maintenance or base maintenance environment.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Aerospace / Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance procedures, and OEM documentation.
