JOB DESCRIPTION

IT Infrastructure Engineer You will be part of the Managed Services team. Your responsibilities include technical administration, maintenance and troubleshooting. You are expected to work with our client to ensure IT Support Services are delivered based on agreed service level definition, much to the satisfaction of both customers & company. Managing customer's expectation is part of your job scope, which required of you to work closely with external & internal project team members. You are expected to be a fast learner, to acquire technical implementation skill as and when needed due to business requirements. You need to have a strong analytical and problem-solving skill, so as to excel in supporting our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor condition of server, apps and security measures

• Identify, log and resolve technical problems of the scope (Incident Management)

• Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels (Service Request / Incident / Change / Patch Management)

• Respond to site to troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify faults

• Liaise and coordinate the recovery of systems

• Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation (continuous improvements)

• Create, maintain and distribute reports of progress to service delivery manager.

• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Vmware and Nutanix

• Good knowledge of EMC and Huawei storage systems

• Good knowledge of windows operating systems, Clusters, NLB, or Unix

• Good knowledge of Solarwinds, Qradar

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure support is required for this position.

Soft Skills:

- Self-driven and must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting, with minimum supervision.

- Good problem solving and logic skills

- Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English

- Excellent customer management skills

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized institution.

- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification

What You'll Do In This Role

  • Collaborate closely with the US Platform Infrastructure team to ensure global alignment, share best practices, and coordinate on infrastructure enhancements that support Cumberland and FICCO mission-critical trading systems across all regions.
  • Maintain, design, and troubleshoot trading networks.
  • Ensure efficient handling of traditional multicast market data networks as well as handling market data in the cloud for trading environments.
  • Optimize and fine-tune the latest hardware, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure to achieve minimal latency in trading and compute operations.
  • Drive initiatives to modernize environments by building and optimizing infrastructure using the most appropriate tools and technologies—whether cloud-based (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes) or on-premise to best meet the needs of our trading systems.
  • Use declarative frameworks like Terraform and Ansible to build, manage, and configure infrastructure such as AWS, Kubernetes, Git, TeamCity, Concourse, and GitHub Actions.
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance network and compute performance, container management, workload orchestration, and cloud integration.
  • Support the business by maintaining and managing storage requirements on NFS, CIFS, and S3 compatible systems within a Linux-based environment.
  • Support and enhance highly available database architectures, ensuring systems are up-to-date with minimal downtime, following best practices, and coordinating with Database Administrators for updates and architectural improvements.
  • Ensure systems are secure through regular patching and reporting, maintaining compliance with security standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement and manage cloud security controls, compliance requirements, and best practices to protect cloud resources and data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and standard operating procedures for cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.
  • Evaluate and implement server management and disaster recovery strategy.
  • Work closely with IT Support/Helpdesk to ensure a timely, robust, and comprehensive service transition process

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in IT/Computer Engineering/Computer Studies or equivalents
  • Minimum 3 years practical IT Infrastructure systems management experience in Enterprise environments
  • Good technical foundation in Windows & Linux Server Administration, Virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare) and Hyperconverged
  • Good knowledge and experience of running Infrastructure service with various Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS & etc., including cloud-native services, infrastructure components, and networking.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts, such as IP addressing, routing, VLANs, DMZ, Firewall and VPN.
  • Good understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices for protecting cloud resources and data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Your mission

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll report directly to our Director of Engineering - Clement Ho - and play a pivotal role in shaping a DeFi ecosystem that’s transparent, adaptable, and at the forefront of innovation. If you’re excited about solving complex challenges and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in blockchain and finance, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Reliability: Own the site reliability process from design to deployment, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Teach: Guide the software engineering team on best practices and work together to evolve our engineering processes.
  • Mastermind infrastructure: Manage and optimize multiple Kubernetes clusters across environments, and build core services that drive our platform.
  • Incident Response: Resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and high performance.
  • Team Leadership: Help build and lead a high-velocity, adaptable infrastructure engineering team.

What You’ll Bring

  • SRE Expertise: Deep experience in site reliability engineering within multi-datacenter cloud environments with high demands on uptime, performance, and security.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong background in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and software engineering, with the ability to adopt and integrate open-source and commercial technologies.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and projects, with the ability to work closely with senior management to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.
  • Advanced Infrastructure: Experience with cloud infrastructure, low-latency systems, HashiCorp tools, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Cloud Security: Expertise in securing complex cloud network architectures.
