- Perform maintenance and inspection of process equipment using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure its availability for uninterrupted operation of the manufacturing plant.

Major Responsibilities:
Daily routine
- Provide guidance and coaching all major maintenance works for critical equipment in the plant. Key point of contact to all key-stakeholders (i.e. engineer, planner, Manufacturing, equipment vendor, Quality… etc) regarding technical aspect of equipment overhaul at site. Participate in the kick-off meetings with engineer/ planner/ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in preparation for execution works and give advice as equipment/ site Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure work execution at site goes smoothly without interruptions/hiccups. Coordinates with external contractors for specialized repair/maintenance work, vessel inspection, repairs, major overhauls… etc
- Provide guidance and coaching to the front-line technicians and contracted resources during major overhauls/maintenance and day-to-day jobs to ensure no rework. Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for stationery and rotating process equipment to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the plant. Troubleshoot equipment failures/ malfunctions using maintenance historical data and carry out remediation/ corrective measures. Manage all equipment maintenance work using a Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS).
- Assist in troubleshooting recurring equipment reliability problems and work closely with the Reliability engineer to implement improvements based on analytical results/ reports from CMMS data/ Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/ Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Safety, quality & cGMP Compliance
- Ensures all the maintenance works are carried out safely in compliance with AbbVie/ statutory safety regulations.
- Perform work in compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/ Job Aids/ Instructor-Led-Training (ILT) and cGMP standards.
- Ensure all technicians (regular/ contractors) under his/ her charge completes all required cGMP trainings before they are allowed to be executing works at site
- Ensure and remind all technicians under his/her charge performs the MAXIMO work order timely without fail as per SOP requirements/ recommendations
- Certified as confined space accessor/ supervisor/ rescuer, Work At Height (WAH) supervisor/manager, Gas tester… etc. to perform all types of maintenance work. Good knowledge of LOTO to lead the team to review all the LOTO requirements for daily routine and/ or shutdown maintenance work.
- Compile Job plans, Job aids, and Risk assessments to assist the Maintenance engineer in developing SOPs for maintenance work.
Coaching and mentoring of technicians
- Coach the junior technician (regular/ contractors) to carry out basic troubleshooting, system change-over maintenance, support equipment validation, and Equipment reliability improvement. Ensure all know-how for best maintenance practices is passed down to the less experienced team members especially critical equipment overhauls/servicing.
- As the lead equipment SME, he/ she shall provide and ensure job aids/ ILT/ OJT are available and up-to-date for all critical equipment major overhaul/ servicing so that such know-how can be recorded and passed down to the team members
Other Support
- As the lead equipment SME for process equipment, participate in CFT discussions with the engineers to resolve plant issues and/or join in as part of CFT team for NCR/PRA discussion together with all key stakeholders as and when required.
- Acting as back-up to Maintenance engineer in their absence
- Provide on-call support for equipment problems (24/7) to minimize the downtime of the equipment.
Key Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline of engineering (mechanical/ electrical/ chemical) with a minimum of 8 years work experience required.
- Experience in pharmaceutical/ Petrol chemical/ Oil & Gas facilities required.
