Peerpoint by A&O Shearman is a global legal consulting platform for lawyers who are seeking a self-directed legal career via a non-traditional route. Consulting with Peerpoint means having the backing of A&O Shearman and, with it, access to the highest quality work, clients, resources and support.

We are currently seeking a self-driven construction lawyer with strong front end advisory experience to join our panel in Singapore.

Successful applicants will have:

• A right to work and reside in Singapore
• Qualification to practice in at least one of England & Wales, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia
• A minimum of five years' post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm in this field
• Strong technical knowledge and experience, ideally with construction experience gained in the Asia Pacific region
• In-house legal experience working on construction matters, non-contentious preferred (directly or as a secondee)
• Self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant
• Adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally
• Client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment
• Strong commercial/business acumen
• Resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible
• Advanced organisational skills and diplomacy

• In-house with one of our clients - one assignment could be stepping into a team to support a project, while another a senior manager role tackling regulatory change. Assignments can range from two to twelve months in duration and are usually worked four days’ per week.
• In the A&O Shearman practice on an ad-hoc basis, supporting teams when needed or joining them for fixed periods to work on a deal.

We only take you on when we see a demand for your particular expertise, making sure there is a good chance we can provide you with work on an on-going basis. We cannot guarantee work but we are every bit as invested in moving your career forward as you are.
