**Site Overview:**
For more than 40 years, our advanced facilities in Singapore have led aerospace innovation across Asia Pacific. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).
GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.
**Role Overview:**
The key projects includes but not limited to:
+ Lead the initiation and setup of a new Calibration Lab of dimensional and torque calibration at a new engine overhaul facility at Seletar Aerospace Park.
+ You will be responsible for the overall project management and ensure the adequate resources are obtained to keep the program on track.
+ To qualify and commission 3D printing powder element composition analysis machine at Loyang Compressor repair facility.
+ Coordinate a Kaizen event at Metallurgy Lab with cross functional team.
+ You will be following up with various stakeholder for machine installation, qualification, creating standard work and training of the operators for operation.
Interns must be able to commit to a 20-24 week internship at minimum to ensure they have sufficient time and opportunity to learn from their internship projects
**Ideal Candidate**
The Ideal candidate shall have basic knowledge of engineering and possess eager to learn attitude. The candidate shall be proactive in task and project management.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Degree of engineering and university mathematics and physics
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing, usage of CMM and knowledge of material science.

Responsibilities:


Regulatory Compliance & Oversight

  • Ensure continuous compliance with applicable aviation regulations, including CAAS Part 145, EASA Part 145, FAA Part 145, CAAC 145, CAAM 145, CAAT-145, and other relevant authority requirements.
  • Oversee adherence to all regulatory requirements applicable to Singapore and export jurisdictions.


Quality and Flight Safety Management Systems

  • Lead, maintain, and enhance the Management System in accordance with applicable standards (ISO9001, EN 9100/9110, and Safran/SAO standards).
  • Define and deploy the local quality and Flight Safety policy in alignment with the Aftermarket Division strategy, ensuring operational integration in collaboration with the General Manager.


Audit & Compliance Monitoring

  • Manage the Internal Audit Program and coordinate all external audits, including those conducted by aviation authorities, customers and certification bodies.
  • Plan, conduct, and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring effective tracking and closure of findings and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor compliance performance and ensure continuous readiness for regulatory inspections.


Occurrence Reporting & Investigation

  • Oversee the investigation and analysis of non-conformities, occurrences, and quality events, applying structured methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis).
  • Use behavioral and organizational contributors to error investigations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and aviation authorities in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g. Occurrence Reports and notifications).


Continuous Improvement

  • Drive operational and quality improvements using Lean methodologies, problem-solving tools, and data-driven analysis.
  • Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring effective implementation and sustainability.


Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local Quality and Compliance team, fostering competence, engagement, and alignment with Group best practices.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the local organization, regional teams, and divisional leadership in France.
  • Provide regular reporting and performance updates to the General Manager and headquarters, including key quality and compliance indicators.
  • Influencing without authority – ability to challenge production, engineering or leadership where needed.


Safety Management & Culture

  • Promote and embed a strong safety culture across the organization, working in close collaboration with Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Operations, and Logistics teams.
  • Participate in and support crisis management activities, including product recalls, major incidents, and external communications.


External relations

  • Civil aviation authorities (CAAS, EASA, FAA, UK CAA, others), Customers, airlines, OEMs, Suppliers, subcontractors, service providers, etc.


Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in Quality or Compliance roles within the aerospace industry (maintenance, support, production, etc.)
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of quality/safety management systems and standards(ISO 9001, EN9100, EN9110, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Singapore regulations (CAAS) and international regulations (EASA, FAA, etc.). Experience in a Part-145 maintenance environment is essential
  • Management experience, ideally in an international and multicultural environment
  • Strong expertise in maintenance error investigation and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proven auditing capability, demonstrating objectivity, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Core Competencies: Leadership and team management, Decision-making and accountability, Cross-functional collaboration, Strategic thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Interpersonal skills: Highly organized and methodical with strong analytical and synthesis capabilities. Proactive, autonomous, and adaptable in a dynamic operational environment.
