Job Requirement
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in geological engineering.
- At least 6 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Working experience in main-con company is a must.
- Candidate must specialized in various channel and coast project experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and survey methods.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Willing to work at site office.
- Monday – Saturday, work location: east.

This full-time permanent position is based in our Singapore CBD office, with 120 to 150 days per year offshore.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Survey and Inspection Operations Manager – Australia, you will be accountable for the preparation, calibrations, offshore execution, data processing, data management and reporting of offshore and onshore survey projects.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Assist the Party Chief, Surveyor or Survey Engineer with calibrating sensors as required.
- Maintain, set-up, test, and maintain equipment in preparation for use on offshore projects.
- Fault-find, service, and repair damaged or non-operation subsea equipment returned to the workshop.
- Installation, configuration of hydrographic and marine geophysics survey equipment and software
- Operation in the field of survey equipment and software to acquire data, in accordance with industry standards, MMA Offshore work instructions and project specific procedures
- Maintain accurate survey and or equipment logs during operations
What do we need from you?
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree, specifically Surveying or Marine Science, or equivalent
- SSSI membership and active maintenance of a field logbook is desirable for the Certified Professional Hydrographic Surveyor (CPHS) accreditation program
- Demonstrated logistics planning experience
- Capable of building and sustaining effective relationships
- Experience with QINSy (desirable)
- Caris HIPS
- QPS FGMT, QPS Qimera

Reporting to MPA's Hydrographic Division, candidate will be part of our team of maritime professionals whose responsibilities are to ensure safe navigation in Singapore waters by providing hydrographic, cartographic and aids to navigation products and services.
What you will be working on

Your duties will include:
- Conduct hydrographic surveys in Singapore waters.
- Operate, calibrate and maintain hydrographic equipment such as the multibeam sonar survey systems, side scan sonars, laser coast-lining systems, etc.
- Process data generated from the various hydrographic surveys in office or on board the survey vessel.
The data collected from the hydrographic surveys are used for nautical charting for the safety of navigation in Singapore waters. The work entails embarking and disembarking with equipment from small vessels to jetties via ladders/ landing steps and long duration on board survey vessel. The candidate is also expected to perform administrative roles such as liaising with internal/ external customers, report writing, project management and procurement processes.

Candidate should possess relevant discipline such as Engineering, Nautical Studies or Information Technology.
Candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to .
Candidates with prior working experience in land surveying, cartography or geographical information/computer-aided design systems will have an advantage. Candidates must be independent, meticulous with an eye for detail and a good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
