Job Description
The Research Assistant will be responsible for integrating the NeuroRAN AI-enabled Radio Access Networks (RAN) with various AI-based applications. Such applications will help optimize the RAN performance, streamline the RAN operational efficiency, create advanced features (e.g., spectrum sensing) for RAN, and better support edge-based AI applications.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, computer engineering, communication engineering, or related fields.
- Good working knowledge in AI systems and models.
- Hands-on experiences in Linux systems, virtualization / containers, edge/cloud systems deployment and management (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Good programming skills, e.g.: Python, shell scripting, C / C++, Web, Java.
- Hands-on experience and working knowledge in developing and deploying networked systems and applications.
- Hands-on experience and working knowledge in deploying and operating wireless network (e.g., LTE, 5G networks) will be a plus.

Purpose of the post
The RA will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator, Assistant Professor Jiang Ying and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the studies on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as recruitment, data collection, entry, analysis, and manuscript writing.

The Principal Investigator of this project is located at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
The successful candidate(s) must demonstrate competence in quantitative research methods using STATA or R, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Research interest and experience in one or more of the above-listed areas on economics and demography of aging, OR pensions and retirement, OR health of older adults is plus.
