Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning & Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate lifting operations, including selecting appropriate lifting equipment and techniques.
- Assess the load, rigging methods, and environmental conditions to ensure safe lifting procedures.
2. Safety Management:
- Supervise all lifting activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and MOM regulations.
- Conduct pre-lift safety checks, toolbox talks, and risk assessments before commencing operations.
3. Operational Supervision:
- Guide and oversee riggers, signalmen, and equipment operators during lifting operations.
- Ensure proper rigging, sling configurations, and load securing for all lifts.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
- Verify and ensure compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of lifting plans, permits, and inspection reports.
5. Incident Management:
- Address and resolve any safety concerns or operational issues on-site.
- Report and document any incidents, near-misses, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
