What is in it for you?

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Placement Specialist to join the Downstream Energy Placement Team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside our regional clients, servicing our extensive Marsh network, working with the team on tenders, managing the placement of new business, quoting renewals and completing complex placements. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients globally.

We will count on you to:

• Assisting to prospect new business opportunities and review tender requirements
• Compiling tender submissions and reports and preparing tender presentations
• Communicating with clients and engagement of Marsh resources and colleagues as needed
• Engagement of in-house /technical/advisory resources
• Compilation of underwriting and claims information and drafting of slips
• Assisting with the negotiation of lead terms and review/negotiation of signed slips/wordings
• Marketing to (Re)Insurers and update to clients on placement status
• Setting up mud maps and update thereof during the placement stage
• Binding of lines, ensuring cover on risk and confirming the same to clients (clearing subjectivities prior)
• Drafting of Summaries of Cover
• Clearing (Re)insurer security with the parties involved
• Obtaining information and drafting endorsements
• Preparing renewal wordings and sharing with leaders (for agreement) and clients
• Preparation of premium, commission and risk engineering spreadsheets

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree ideally in Business, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance placement or related field
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of the Singapore Insurance Market
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance placement software
• Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and practices
