Transport Optimization Analyst
Department : Overseas
Operations & Logistics (BP93400)
Introduction
You will be member of our UD
Trucks, Service Parts Operations& Logistics (SPOL) located in
Singapore. Within SPOL Overseas Operationswe manage a wide span of
activities from Parts Procurement, inbound &outbound coordination,
allocation of customers’ orders, shipment planning, invoicing,and
documentation.
Transport Optimization Analyst is a key role that
deal with a large variety of critical topicsthat affect positively or
negatively UD Trucks profitability. Reporting to CDCSingapore
Procurement & Market Support manager you will also support ourteams in
Thailand, South Africa, and Dubai regarding transport optimization.
JobResponsibilities
- Evaluate,compare,
and coordinate with freight forwarders for both inbound andoutbound
lanes keepingtrack of performance.
- Communicateand secure with
cross-functional teams comprehension of what LSP isawarded.

Leadmonthly meetings with all respective freight forwarders to
reviewperformance and address topics for improvement.
- Bethe
liaison between our SPOL Overseas Operations and logistics
andTransport purchasing and Logistics development functions.

Managedatabase of forwarders agreements in a standardized format to
enablebenchmarking and analysis of freight costs.
- Perform cost
analyses of transportation to identifyopportunities for cost savings,
lead time reduction and coordinateoptimization activities.

Monitorand collect shipment statistics for inbound and outbound flows
tosupport overseas transparency of flows.
- Approve transport
invoices and release for accountingdepartment to proceed payment to
transporters.
- Supportour cross-functional teams to overcome
transport-related issues andquestions by leading discussions with our
Transporters Key accountmanagers.
- Keep close monitoring of
worldwide market disruptionsthat can affect our transportation lanes
in terms of cost and transportlead time.
- Maintain an yearly
review of all inbound and outboundflows as continuous improvement by
leading discussions with ourcross-functional teams.
- Compliantto
local and overseas regulatory topics.
- Undertakeany tasks as may
be directed by the superior from time to time notlisted as main job
responsibilities
- Maintain anoutstanding workplace organization
in terms of 5S
Qualification & Skills
-
Graduatedwith a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification
-
3-5years of working experience in logistics.
- Understanding of
transport mode and its impact ontransport cost, Incoterms
-
Workingknowledge of compliance to local governance rules and
regulations from alogistical perspective
- Problem-solvingskills
and know-how with analytical and organization skills.

Expertisein Excel with macro programming, proficiency in MS Office
suite
- Goodverbal communication skills
- Requiresboth written
and verbal communication skills in English.
- Computerproficient
in Microsoft Windows-based software. Power BI is a plus
