mission will be to accelerate the adoption of our application security
solutions across diverse customer segments.
As a Synopsys
Senior Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect,
you are a critical part of the sales team. The primary responsibility
is to act as a technical advisor and AppSec solution expert working
with the sales team and our partners in driving the technology
evaluation stage during the sales process.
Your
Responsibility
- Develop and refine best practices, create compelling presentations, and conduct solution demonstrations.
- Engage with customers on complex design and implementation challenges to drive Synopsys solution adoption and evolution.
- Utilize your field experience and customer feedback to inform and shape solution decisions.
- Provide architectural and big-picture oversight for the development of the client AppSec program.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to sales engineers and client developers regarding the AppSec solutions based on best practices.
- Develop opportunity strategy by introducing and stitching multiple solutions and services together to form a comprehensive AppSec solution for customers.
- Own and manage pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualifications, competitive analysis, test plans, demos, proof of concept, and RFI/RFPs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to represent Synopsys at events such as conferences, trade shows, webinars, and other marketing initiatives.
- Travel for business to act as the representative of Synopsys at industry events, engaging with customers and prospects to explore their needs thoroughly.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or similar field preferred.
- Eight years of experience as a Sales Engineer / Channel Sales Engineer / Systems Integrator / Professional Services Consultant.
- At least five years of successful enterprise software Pre-Sales experience as a consultant or architect.
- Excellent face-to-face presentation skills to customers and large audiences.
- Strong selling mindset with a passion to win!
- Able to converse in sales and business language.
- Good teamwork capability and ability to work autonomously.
- Experience with Application Security Tools like SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST, and ASPM.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- A background in the software security industry, including penetration testing and code review, is highly preferred.
- Well-versed in a wide range of coding languages and how they work, and practical software development experience in languages like C/C++, Java, C#, and others.
- Knowledge of developer and DevSecOps ecosystems and practices, coupled with expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps methodologies, CI/CD practices, and Git-based SCM tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and their security features.
- Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, CSSLP, CEH, and CISSP are preferred.
