Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the restaurant complies with all statutory employment, sanitation, food safety and workplace safety regulations.
  • Ensures an outstanding dining experience by regulating presentation, taste, service and atmosphere for all guests in accordance with Management directive; develop ways to cultivate a regular customer pool.
  • Collaborates with the Head Chef and culinary team to ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
  • Responds promptly to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues, monitor and control food, beverage, labour costs & all operating expenses. Involves the perpetual monitoring of key financials and revenue figures.
  • Promotes sales through direct guest contact. Constantly obtains customer feedback during operations to ensure satisfaction and build a loyal following/return customer base.
  • Oversight of staff schedule to ensure optimal manning.
  • Assists servers and hosts on the floor during meal periods and high demand times.
  • Manages service delivery to ensure excellent service from point of entry to departure (e.g., greeting from hostess, speed of order taking and food and beverage delivery, fulfilment of special requests, collection of payment & invitation to return).
  • Assists in events such as weddings and corporate cocktails.
  • Provides direction and training to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
  • Holds regular staff meetings to brief team on new promotions, brainstorm ideas and identify new marketing opportunities. Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of the meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Addresses staff grievances and takes appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with Company's policy.
  • Ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant by identifying issues, and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Recruits suitably qualified person and makes recommendations to promote internally wherever possible.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all financials/ reports/ invoices/ receipts etc and personnel/ payroll related administrative duties are completed and if required, forwarded to the supporting departments of Accounts/ HR etc accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity managing an upscale restaurant
  • Strong business acumen and results-driven
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and respond to key business performance indicators and competitive trends
  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail
  • Pro-active, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Possess leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office is necessary
  • Able to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and PH
