  • Overseeing EPCIC Contractor’s execution of the offshore marine transportation and installation scope and reporting to Installation Manager on a daily basis.
  • Company’s main focal point at designated installation site/ vessel and responsible for the technical, quality, safety, environmental aspects of the offshore installation work and to successfully complete the marine transportation, offshore installation of all pipelines and risers, umbilical, subsea structures, control and production ties-in to subsea wells, and their testing and pre-commissioning
  • Shall be responsible to ensure all activities are conducted safely in accordance with Company safety standards, codes guidelines and specifications
  • Role in reviewing theinstallation procedures, offshore site team construction support, hydrographic survey party, inspection (welding, coating, AUT, NDT, pre-comm, etc) onboard Contractor’s installation vessel.
  • Ensure that all personnel on site are well conversant in safe working practices and ensure all safety measures have been implemented by Contractor.
  • Ensure all works conducted at site are in compliance to Company’s technical standards and specifications, approved procedures, plans, manuals and technical notes.
  • Ensure Contractor’s execution of the works are in adherence to the approved procedures and Contract provisions.
  • Supervise the Construction Supervisor and work inspectors and be responsible for QA/QC implementation on site.
  • Ensure safe, effective and efficient planning and execution of work at site, onboard the offshore installation vessel and operations of marine supporting spreads.
  • Continuously monitor the status of project work to ensure it is being executed in the safe, most efficient manner and that all materials and consumables are sufficientlyavailable to prevent downtime or non-productive time.
  • Plan, monitor and report ofwork progress at site relating to delivery of project materials, sit fabrication and umbilical/ pipeline pre-commissioning and commissioning
  • Shall ensure that all project documentation and project reporting are prepared accurately and timely.
  • Interface, coordinate with and oversee the work by Company, Contractor, Marine Warranty Surveyor and other vendor’s personnel to ensure the marine transportation and offshore installation schedule, work procedures, work and test packs, preservation & packing and completion certificates are reviewed and endorsed by the relevant parties.
  • Interface and coordinate with EPCIC Contractor and Company’s Operations & Maintenance Department on vessels movement and installation interfaces, production shutdown planning, preparation of integrated shutdown plan, work activities interface during shutdown, etc.
  • Review adequacy and accuracy of punch lists. Monitor final completion of the work.

HSE

  • Responsible for own safety and the protection of others.
  • Quality/ HSE Focus and team oriented.
  • All works conducted will be done so in a safe manner utilizing all safety equipment/ procedures and PPE necessary to complete the specific work.
  • Play active role in all HES related areas.

Other Skills

  • The development of all relevant procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation as and when requested.
  • Review and comment on EPCIC contractor’s documents.
  • Review and comment on Package Vendor documents.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline i.e., MSc BEng, BSc (Hons) or similar.
  • Willingness totravel internationally and relocated to work sites including offshore. Mainly offshore based onboard installation vessels in Offshore Myanmar with short assignments onshore in either fabrication yard and/or office location.
  • Be able to work independently with little supervision but strong sense of responsibility
  • A good command of English both verbal and written.
  • A good command of verbal Mandarin and reading.
  • Minimum 12 years of work experience in oil and gas of which 8 years must be related to upstream offshore sector. Project and operational Experience in a similar role with an Oil and gas Operator an advantage.
  • Experiences in overseeing the EPCIC Contractor planning and execution of the marine transportation, offshore installation, diving and ROV operations, pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning and other related activities.
  • Hand-on experience on liaison and coordination with Operations & Maintenance, Contractor and Marine Warranty Surveyor pertain to the planning, execution and productio shutdown, pipeline and umbilical laying, riser installation, installation of subsea structures, subsea well tie-in, testing and pre-commissioning.
  • Experienced with the work methodology and preparation and review of procedures, work and test packs, execution of load-out, transportation, pipeline and umbilical laying subsea structures installation, ROV, diving, system testing and pre-commissioning
  • Has good leadership, supervisory, interpersonal skills and possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with the internationally accepted upstream offshore oil & gas industry codes, standards and guidelines on design and execution including safety codes and practices
  • Capability of interpreting drawings and specifications translating these into clear instructions to workforce.
  • Shall be well versed with marine transportation and installation operations and vessel equipment machinery
  • Shall be familiar with ROV and diving equipment spread and operations IMCA Audit guidelines and familiar with diving related works onboard pipelay, diving support and umbilical lay Vessel
  • Shall be well versed with onshore and offshore HSE requirements and work practices
  • Previous experience in gas field operation and facilities an advantage.
  • Working experience in South East Asia or China is an advantage
