Key Duties/Responsibilities: -

  • Perform A-Z tasks, handle full set of documents and follow up on Sea shipments.
  • To ensure accurate and timely production of relevant export documentation and declarations (eg. HB/L, MBL, manifest, pre-alerts), customs declaration, Trade-net operations and billings.
  • Timely follow up/coordinate/communicate shipment information with stakeholders (ie subcontractors, shipping lines, shipping agents, freight forwarders, customers and overseas offices).
  • Correspond and follow up on emails.
  • Declaration and monitoring of bookings.
  • Identify issues and provide resolutions; escalate to Department Manager when required.
  • Handle complaints and dispute from customers and/or shipping lines.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties/tasks as assigned by the Company.
  • Ensure timely manifest to carrier.
  • Ensure AMS/ENS/ISF/AED are filed within the stipulated timeline.

Billing Timeliness – 3 days after vessel ETD Billing Accuracy – 5% Tolerance Intercompany invoices – within 7 days upon receipt Auto Rate – 60% Milestones updates for Global account File closing – weekly Job recognition – 98% Paperless process

Job Requirements: -

  • Possess “O” Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma in Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in handling sea shipments in freight forwarding industry.
  • Good command of English, communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of using Trade-net, Cargowise system a definite advantage.
  • Good customer service skills and a team player.
  • Meticulous, committed and a fast learner.
  • Positive and can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Salary is negotiable and commensurate with candidate's experience.
