role is)
Lecturer (Veterinary Nursing)
(What you
will be working on)
The successful candidate will primarily be
responsible for the development and delivering of Continuing Education
and Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) programmes in the
areas of animal care, and veterinary nursing.
• Develop and
conduct lectures, tutorials, and practicals in full-time and part-time
courses.
• Manage and perform day-to-day operations at TP Animal
Clinic and Wellness (TPACW) as a veterinary technician on a rotating
schedule.
• Train and supervise student trainees at TPACW.
•
Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaboration projects.
•
Carry out administrative duties to support academic and clinic
operations.
• Able to work in the evenings for CET night
classes.
• Mentor students in character development and career
readiness.
• Provide pastoral care for students.
(What
we are looking for)
• Qualification in veterinary
technology/veterinary nursing or its equivalent from recognised
institutions.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant industrial
experience in a vet clinic/animal hospital.
• Experience in animal
rehabilitation is preferred.
• Familiar with ‘Day One Competences’
for Veterinary Nurses.
• Have a passion for developing talents, and
genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult
learners.
• Keen to be involved in applied research/industry
projects.
• Resourceful and able to work independently to meet
deadlines and perform well under pressure.
• Strong communication
and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a
team.
