The job is to come up with innovative ways to build new or improve existing panel and junction box (JB). Electrical design engineers must have an extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles in order to do their job effectively. They need to be familiar with electrical components for panel and junction boxes.
Responsibilities
Safety
1. Ensure Workplace in Safe and Healthy Environment.
2. Ensure No Slips, Trips and Falls environment.
3. Maintaining a tidy workspace.
4. To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
5. To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
Responsibilities
1. To have and maintain good daily attendance and punctuality.
2. To update team members at least 2 working days in advance before going for leave in order to minimize downtime.
3. Lead Ex Proof Team
Daily Task
1. Daily Update of Project Progress to immediate superior.
2. Weekly report progress
Main Task
1. Ensuring accurate adherence to the client's quotation specifications in the drawing.
2. Daily Update of Project Progress to immediate superior.
3. Weekly report progress.
4. Design and Update Electrical & Instrument system layouts, single line diagrams, control schematics.
5. Equipment/material schedules and data sheets, control wiring diagram for control systems etc.
6. Drafts engineering documents for client’s submission or for construction.
7. Performs electrical calculations on cable sizing, lighting illumination level, cable ladder/tray sizing etc.
8. Preparation of Project Design basis and specification.
9. Preparation of Single Line Diagram.
10. Preparation of Cable and Power Layout, Earthing Layout and Hazardous Area Layout.
11. Basic Technical and feasibility studies based on the process scope of work.
13. Performs drafting on all engineering and construction drawings as per instructions given.
14. Produces revised or as-built drawings based on mark-ups and instructions given.
15. Other Ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Special Task
1. Lead the Ex-Proof team.
2. Lead to Coordinate and cooperates with other disciplines for documentations to get approval by the Client.
3. Preparation of Template for Internal Components Drawings
Requirements
· Preferably Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and above
· Preferably minimum 3 to 10 years of design experience in Schematics & Layout design (including library design), Cable Assembly Design, and Design documentation.
· Preferably Proficient with MS Office Program, AutoCAD
· Preferably Knowledge on designing in 3D layout will be an advantage.
· Proficiency in English (written and oral skills) is a must.
· A responsible, self-motivated, meticulous and resourceful team player with good organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
· Familiar with Code of Practices, electrical design, electrical calculations
