Job Description

As data analyst for Coffee, you will have close interaction with our teams of agronomists, sustainability experts, and commercial decision makers across our business. This implies working with a multicultural team in several countries in APAC and Europe. Besides a proven expertise and passion for numbers and coffee we are looking for a proactive person willing to take on a big challenge in a dynamic company with plenty of growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

To analyze data related to agricultural practices and sustainability in coffee supply chains.

To coordinate with sustainability team on system upgrades or developments of our data collection tools and systems.

To assist and guide origins teams on the correct use of data collection tools and systems.

To provide guidance to origins for data collection (design surveys, training material, outlier identification, sample methodologies and monitoring)

To provide periodic analysis reports, focusing on data intelligence and data performance (quality)

To communicate the value of data through dashboards (for central and origin decision making and reporting, and for external stakeholders)

To work on what if scenarios or simulations to forecast outcomes and impacts from sustainability interventions.

To assess GHG emission reduction from the implementation of different practices.

To highlight insights, trends and other findings that help central decision-making processes.

To cover Sustainability Programs data requirements (baselines, impact measurement, using external and internal tools)

To continuously update and communicate key metrics.
 

The role has a strong emphasis on sustainability data, but also includes data on prices and supply and demand metrics to support our business on commercial decisions.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's in engineering, Agroforestry, Business/Economic or similar

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum 2 years' experience in data management and analysis

Knowledge of agriculture and/or sustainability (like yield, seasonal effects)
 

Technical Knowledge

Statistical and analytical tools

Data visualization tools (Power BI)

MS Office tools, advanced Excel

Knowledge in geographic/satellite data and systems is a plus.
 

Meticulous & thorough in transversal analyzing multiple data points.

Proactive and ability to solve problems as they arise.

High motivation to work independently in a multicultural environment.

Good social and communication skills

Travel to coffee operations, if required
