Full Job Description

Community Development (Community Services & Development)

  • Job title: Executive, Community Activation & Volunteer Management
  • Location: Novena

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic projects and initiatives pertaining to building and sustaining new and existing community partnerships to health drive activation efforts 
  • Develop and implement a conducive framework and environment for individuals to take charge of their own health and to care for the health of others in the community.
  • Support the development and implementation of a sustainable training and research roadmap, community engagement framework and toolkit. This includes an account servicing role, presentation of proposals for the approval of Senior Management and other relevant meeting platforms and ensure the timely completion of all projects and reporting of outcomes.
  • Build and sustain community partnerships by training volunteers, co-creating a community of practice in driving community activation, and building a community of carers. 
  • Create the means, framework, platform and environment for residents to take charge of their own health and serve the wider community.
  • Build a vibrant network of health and social care volunteers by bringing together volunteers and partners from different organisations to network, share experiences, and exchange ideas
  • Build diverse communities of activated volunteers with shared interests. 
  • Identify and leverage potential funding programmes and partners for implementation of pilot training programmes
  • Establish governance and volunteer management framework
  • Execute large scale community based-events within set budgets, standard operating protocols, funding mechanisms, and pre-defined timelines.
  • Provide secretariat support at divisional and department level meetings and give timely reporting of key performance indicators.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong passion for population health and volunteerism
  • Degree in Social Sciences/Behavioral Science/Psychology/Social Anthropology or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of corporate experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or social care sectors
  • A creative thinker with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent team leader and player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to multi-task, resourceful and highly resilient
  • Work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
  • Experience in development of social media platforms and website management
  • Experience in event management and vendor management
