Position Overview:

As part of our expansion plans to become a multi-disciplinary hospital, we are seeking a Board Certified Veterinary Specialist Surgeon (ACVS/ECVS/FANZCVS) to join our team. As a specialist surgeon at Westside, apart from performing surgical procedures and consultations for surgical cases, you will also play a crucial role in the selection of surgical facilities and surgical staff and providing training/continuous education to fellow veterinary colleagues both within the team as well as to referring veterinarians in Singapore. This position offers a rare opportunity to truly customise workflow, equipment and environment to your preference, plus the peace of mind that your surgical patients will be well taken care of after-hours by a reliable team of critical care vets and nurses who are experienced with multi-disciplinary caseloads and able to handle most emergency soft tissue surgeries (i.e. minimal after-hours call backs!)

On offer includes a competitive salary package of SGD$15-20k a month on a 4 day work week, relocation bonus, CE leave and allowance and a low tax rate to boot!

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat surgical conditions, including orthopaedic, soft tissue, and some neuromuscular disorders in domestic pet species (cats, dogs, rabbits)
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate care for patients in collaboration with owners, team members and referring veterinarians
• Provide guidance and mentorship to veterinary staff on surgical techniques and best practices
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effiectively with clients about treatment option and prognosis
• Participate in daily grand round

Qualifications/Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school registrable with AVS
• Board certification in veterinary surgery (ACVS/ECVS/FANZCVS). Registrars ae welcome to apply
