Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced sales professional to drive new subscription agreements with top firms and expand existing client relationships through strategic planning and comprehensive account management in a designated sales territory. Success in this role hinges on retaining and growing account revenue while exceeding sales targets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding sales career with Preqin, making an immediate impact and advancing based on performance and organizational skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the sales process from beginning to end, securing introductions with decision makers while providing support to users, achieving, and surpassing your sales quota
  • Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities within a defined sales territory; this includes new prospective customers and within an existing customer base
  • Provide prospective new business clients with an understanding of Preqin’s products and offerings while developing new relationships with key stakeholders at each firm
  • Manage all aspects of the renewal cycle for our client’s subscription relationships, with a focus on expansion opportunities within accounts and subscription renewals. This includes proactive and consultative client support, ensuring high retention and net revenue growth
  • Provide clients and prospects with detailed proposals, product demonstrations, and consultations (in person preferred, or via phone)

What you’ll bring to us:

  • Minimum 3 years of transferable sales experience in account management or new business roles, preferably in financial services, alternative investments, B2B SaaS sales, or solution selling
  • Demonstrated success in meeting quota and retention targets
  • Strong negotiation skills for renewal upsells, cross-selling, and product add-ons
  • Familiarity with financial market data space, alternative assets, and financial services industries
