Position Overview


This Commercial Risk Senior Manager is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading complex risk management initiatives across APAC operations. This role provides deep subject matter expertise in commercial risk, insurance programs, and risk mitigation strategies. This role partners closely with the CRM Director and cross-functional teams to develop and implement enterprise-level risk solutions, support strategic decision-making, and ensure compliance with global insurance and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in advancing the maturity and effectiveness of the company’s risk management framework.


Essential Job Functions


Risk Identification and Analysis

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of complex commercial risks across APAC operations.
  • Conduct in-depth risk assessments and scenario analyses to inform strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain advanced risk models and tools to support decision-making.


Risk Mitigation

  • Design and implement enterprise-level risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk controls and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide expert guidance during risk events and support crisis response planning.
  • Lead special projects focused on emerging risks and risk innovation.


Insurance Management

  • Serve as a senior advisor on global insurance program structure and strategy.
  • Oversee complex insurance placements, renewals, and negotiations in collaboration with brokers and carriers.
  • Lead the development of insurance analytics, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with lender, regulatory, and contractual insurance requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on claims management and loss recovery strategies.


Training and Awareness

  • Develop and deliver advanced training programs on risk management best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of internal capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the organization.


Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner to Legal, Finance, Operations, and Compliance teams.
  • Represent the risk function in high-level cross-functional initiatives and committees.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors, insurers, and industry groups, to stay ahead of trends and regulatory changes.


Additional Duties

  • Perform other duties and strategic assignments as directed by the CRM Director or executive leadership.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ARM, CPCU) preferred.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably in a global or multinational environment.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial insurance, claims management, and risk control practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and risk analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience advising senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • National and international travel expected up to 5%, but may increase as the business evolves.

About the Internship

This internship gives students hands-on experience in Corporate Compliance & Ethics at a global data center. The role is designed to expose students to how compliance supports business operations through clear communication, employee engagement, and the building of an ethical culture. This is a part‑time internship (2 days per week) intended to run alongside academic commitments. It is non-credit-bearing and focused on on-the-job learning through real, meaningful work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a compliance communication plan for different departments and stakeholder groups
  • Assist in refreshing compliance awareness materials, including posters and internal campaigns
  • Draft and refine internal email communications on new or updated compliance policies
  • Support the creation of e‑learning modules for new employee onboarding
  • Use Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and content improvement under guidance
  • The scope will evolve over time based on business needs and the intern’s strengths and interests.
