Production Support Engineer — International Wealth Management (IWM)


Reporting to: Production Service Team Lead
Shift / On-call: Shift coverage (7:00–16:00 / 9:00–18:00) with on‑call and IWM IT Helpdesk duties

Role summary Member of the Production Service team supporting systems used by the International Wealth Management (IWM) division.You will own daily application and system support, incident/problem/change management, and front‑to‑back user requests. The role requires strong Unix andSQL skills; Avaloq experience is a plus.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day application and system support for IWM (shift and on‑call duties); man the IWM IT Helpdesk as required. 
  • Monitor production environment health; maintain high availability and performance of critical systems. 
  • Triage and resolve production incidents; provide workarounds and escalate to vendor/development teams when necessary. 
  • Drive incident lifecycle: logging, follow‑up, RCA/postmortems and mitigation of root causes. 
  • Liaise with business users to ensure timely resolution of issues and clear communication of impact/status. 
  • Coordinate releases, change implementation and system upgrades with infrastructure, development and vendor teams. 
  • Support UAT and production rollouts for BAU changes and projects; collaborate closely with development teams. 
  • Work with regional IT teams and other IT business units to maintain reliable upstream/downstream processing. 
  • Participate in business continuity planning and exercises; contribute to regional/global projects as needed. 
  • Automate routine tasks and contribute to runbooks and operational runbooks‑as‑code.

Mandatory requirements

  • University degree. 
  • Minimum 3 years’ application support experience in a banking / financial institution environment. 
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux administration and scripting (shell, Python, Perl or similar). 
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle 19c, MSSQL) and experience working with database troubleshooting and tuning. 
  • Experience supporting Wealth Management systems, Order Management or Execution Management systems (preferred). 
  • Experience with job schedulers (ideally AutoSys). 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise under pressure, and deliver clear, professional communication at all levels. 
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills; self‑motivated, reliable team player. 
  • Hands‑on experience with either Avaloq, MarginMan, or AWS.

Preferred

  • Avaloq certification or completed Avaloq training. 
  • ITIL v3 (or equivalent) qualification. 
  • Practical understanding of market data, financial models, and front‑to‑back workflows (FX, MM, Equity, Derivatives). 
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol. 
  • Experience with cloud operations, microservices, and automation (Terraform, CI/CD). 
  • Proficiency in Python/Perl and Excel for operational tooling and automation. 
  • Prior exposure to regulated/financial services environments.

Role Overview

As an MQTT API Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable MQTT-based APIs and telemetry data integration solutions. You will work with Azure Data Lake Storage, Microsoft Fabric, and industrial telemetry platforms such as Ignition to enable reliable,secure, and high-throughput data ingestion, processing, and analytics.

What you will do

·    Design, develop, and maintain MQTT APIs and services for real-time telemetry data exchange.

·    Build high-throughput data ingestion pipelines integrating MQTT brokers with Azure Data Lake Storage and Microsoft Fabric.

·    Integrate telemetry platforms such as Ignition with cloud-based data platforms.

·    Optimize APIs and messaging infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and low latency.

·    Develop REST APIs and microservices to expose telemetry data to downstream applications.

·    Implement authentication, authorization, and secure communication for MQTT services.

·    Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to messaging and data pipelines.

·    Collaborate with OT, IoT, cloud, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

What you will bring

·    5–6 years of experience in MQTT, API development, orIoT application development.

·    Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Microsoft Fabric, and telemetry systems such as Ignition to manage high data flow.

·    Experience with MQTT brokers (EMQX, HiveMQ, Mosquitto,or Azure IoT Hub).

·    Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, or Node.js for backend/API development.

·    Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating message-driven architectures.

·    Knowledge of event streaming, data ingestion, andhigh-volume telemetry processing.

·    Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, andcloud-native deployment.

·    Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Ideally you have

·    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·    Azure certifications (AZ-204, DP-203, or Microsoft Fabric), IoT certifications are advantageous.

·    Experience with industrial automation or SCADA environments.

Weare looking for an experienced T24 QA Lead – Functional  withstrong expertise in Temenos T24 modules including ETD, DX, FX, SC, CA,and GC  to lead testing activities across banking transformationprograms. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge ofcore banking operations , experience managing QA teams, and hands-onexpertise in test strategy, planning, and execution  withinlarge banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-endQA and testing activities  for Temenos T24 modules (ETD, DX, FX, SC, CA, GC)  ensuring quality delivery across projects.
  • Define and implement test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases  based on functional requirements and business processes.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Developers, and Project Managers  to ensure accurate requirement understanding and coverage.
  • Manage and mentor QA team members , ensuring adherence to testing standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate and oversee SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing  across multiple workstreams.
  • Identify, track, and manage defects and issues  through defect management tools and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure end-to-end functional validation  of banking products including payments, treasury, lending, and core banking processes within T24.
  • Prepare test reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards  for stakeholders and project governance meetings.
  • Support test environment management and test data preparation  in coordination with technical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements  during testing activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience  in software testing within banking or financial services .
  • Strong experience working with Temenos T24 Core Banking platform .
  • Functional knowledge of T24 modules – ETD (Enterprise Data), DX (Digital Experience), FX (Foreign Exchange), SC (Securities), CA (Corporate Actions), GC (General Conditions/Configuration) .
  • Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing testing for large banking transformation or migration projects .
  • Strong knowledge of test management, defect tracking, and QA methodologies (Agile / Waterfall) .
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar .
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Temenos implementation, upgrade, or migration projects .
  • Exposure to automation testing frameworks  will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of banking products such as payments, treasury, lending, and trade finance .
  • ISTQB or relevant testing certification  preferred.
