The Consultant/Senior Consultant for the Financial Communications Practice thrives in the intersection of words, numbers, and capital markets. You read widely and have a knack for developing market-moving narratives, engaging with business media and analysts, to impact how investors think and feel about their investments. In this role, you will be well-positioned to work on trailblazing transactions, as part of an award-winning team.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Client Servicing

  • Proactive client servicer with a can-do attitude
  • Leads accounts with minimal supervision
  • Provides counsel to clients that aligns with their business objectives
  • Supervises, mentors and facilitates junior team members in client work
  • Actively involved in client meetings and leads meetings, where appropriate
  • Acts as the gatekeeper of quality when delivering client work
  • Builds and maintain strong client relationships, including at a senior level
  • Able to deputise for more senior members of the team where necessary
  • Identifies challenges before they become issues and seeks guidance where necessary to ensure a timely resolution


Strategic Counsel/Planning

  • Offers strategic counsel to clients and fellow team members
  • Plans workload and to-do-list, while also offering guidance to juniors
  • Looks ahead to ensure proactivity on client accounts


Media and Stakeholder Understanding and Relations

  • Good media and influencer relationships in Singapore and regionally
  • Excellent news sense and insightful media analysis
  • A strong understanding of relevant stakeholder/media/analyst landscapes and mapping
  • Designs and delivers strong media pitches/stakeholder position papers


New Business

  • Plays a role in identifying new business opportunities
  • Constructs proposals, including content and logistics
  • Produces insightful and analytical research to prepare senior team for new business meetings, pitches and presentations


You will have:

  • 3 - 4 years of experience for consultants in communications or a related industry
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Mass Communications, Journalism, or any industry-related disciplines
  • A strong writer with excellent research, writing, editing, presentation, and client interaction skills.
  • Proven experience in producing first-rate communications and editorial content for multi-platform media, including traditional mainstream and digital platforms.
  • Strong client relations, strategic thinking, and new business development skills; a problem solver, solution-finder, and able to think outside the box.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects with minimum or no supervision.
  • Can work independently and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to adapt quickly and embrace change.
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit, self-motivated and creative
  • Bold in counsel and brave in decision making.
  • A strong team player who recognises the importance of collective responsibility in a team
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Consultant role

About the Role



As Associate Director, you will work on a range of clients from international brands to local household names. A strategic thinker, calm in a crisis, and creative at heart, your role will stretch far beyond day-to-day client work as you support new business initiatives, take an active lead in providing counsel, running brainstorms and workshops, getting involved in agency initiatives, and passing on your expertise to your colleagues.



Responsibilities



  • Lead accounts with minimal supervision, proactively delivering high-quality client service aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including at senior levels, and deputise for senior team members when needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency in client work.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and fellow team members, anticipating challenges and planning proactively.
  • Develop and leverage media and stakeholder relationships, deliver strong media pitches and stakeholder materials, and conduct insightful analysis.
  • Support new business initiatives by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and conducting research to enable senior team members in pitches and presentations.



Qualifications



  • 5 – 6 years of experience in communications or a related industry, with agency experience as an added advantage.



Required Skills



  • A strong writer with excellent research, writing, editing, presentation, and client interaction skills.
  • Proven experience in producing first-rate communications and editorial content for multi-platform media, including traditional mainstream and digital platforms.
