Job Description

Our client is an established wholesale bank seeking a Loan Operations professional to support its Corporate Banking business in Singapore.


This role sits within the Operations function and is responsible for the end-to-end processing and servicing of loan facilities and banker’s guarantees across a range of corporate banking products. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate transaction processing, regulatory compliance and effective operational risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end processing and servicing of syndicated and bilateral loans, revolving and term facilities.
  • Support the issuance, amendment and servicing of banker’s guarantees.
  • Process loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fee collections and rate fixings.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure timely settlements.
  • Input and verify transactions within core banking platforms.
  • Manage daily nostro funding activities and investigate reconciliation items.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of transactions.
  • Prepare operational, management and regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, AML requirements and operational risk guidelines.
  • Participate in audit reviews and support remediation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and improve workflow efficiencies.
  • Support projects, system enhancements and new business initiatives where required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualifications.
  • Experience within loans operations, corporate banking operations or credit operations.
  • Familiarity with syndicated loans, bilateral loans and trade-related products would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of operational risk, AML and regulatory requirements within banking.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in core banking platforms such as Avaloq, Kondor or similar systems would be beneficial.
  • Proactive, team-oriented and comfortable working within a dynamic environment.
