The Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders through effective collaboration with Supply Chain, Central Planning, and Manufacturing teams. This role manages material planning for production builds, performs capacity studies, and drives optimization of loading plans to maximize output. Success requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage dynamic customer requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
This role also supports SAP S/4HANA migration activities by performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for planning processes, ensuring system functionality aligns with business requirements. The position ensures compliance with policies, safety regulations, and process standards while leveraging digital tools, analytics, and AI-driven solutions to drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:

Customer Delivery & Order Fulfillment
o Ensure on-time delivery for all production orders.
o Collaborate with Supply Chain to understand customer requirements and fulfill ad-hoc upside requests.
o Work with Central Planning to optimize network loading and meet customer order commitments.
Material Planning for Production Builds
o Partner with material planners to ensure sufficient materials for execution, including engineering requests and normal demand.
o Coordinate with Supply Chain and Central Planning to secure wafer supply
Capacity Planning & Optimization
o Plan, study, and analyze weekly capacity feasibility with Industrial Engineering (IE) for regular and ad-hoc customer requests.
o Optimize loading to maximize assembly output.
o Collaborate with Manufacturing on tactical horizon planning for immediate weeks.
Production Build Execution
o Work with Process Engineers on special engineering lead lot build requirements.
o Ensure production builds start with correct process flow and preparation.
o Plan and coordinate with production teams to start planned orders on time.
o Identify efficiency gaps and propose improvement solutions.
Scheduling Probe Jobs
o Optimize job combinations (bins, repair densities, final param) to use system resources efficiently.
o Implement dashboards and alerts for early detection of probe-related issues.
o Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve discrepancies in probe results.
SAP S/4HANA UAT & Migration Support
• Act as Warehouse SME for SAP S/4HANA User Acceptance Testing (UAT) covering end‑to‑end warehouse and IQC processes (receiving, put‑away, issuance, returns, shipment, cycle count, scrap, cold room/freezer materials, consigned materials, etc.).
• Execute UAT scenarios based on defined test plans and business requirements.
• Validate S/4HANA transactions and Fiori UI against current ECC processes to ensure functional accuracy and business continuity.
• Log UAT results, defects, and process gaps in the UAT tracker with sufficient detail for IT and system integrators to troubleshoot.
• Perform defect re-testing and regression testing after fixes are deployed.
Process Mapping & Validation
o Support warehouse process mapping and documentation required for S/4HANA migration.
o Identify and highlight process deltas between ECC and S/4HANA, including system behavior changes and UI impacts.
o Validate SAP configuration related to storage locations, batch management, IQC status, and warehouse controls.
Cross Functional Coordination
o Work closely with IT, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and external system integrators to clarify issues and validate solutions.
o Provide timely feedback and warehouse business input during workshops, UAT reviews, and migration readiness discussions.
o Support cutover preparation and readiness checks leading up to S/4HANA go live.
Operational Risk & Readiness
o Ensure UAT activities do not compromise daily warehouse operations by coordinating testing schedules and priorities.
o Identify operational risks, training gaps, and process impacts ahead of go live.
o Support development of workarounds, SOP updates, and business readiness actions as required.
Other Responsibilities:

• Experience with MRB resolution.
