Senior Manager/Associate Director, IT Solution

Singapore Confidential Careers

Tap Again To Close

Job Description

About the Role

We are building an IT organization that, over the next 18 months, will move from a set of standalone services toward an All-in-One platform and a layer of customized services that internal customers can self-serve. The IT Solutions team is the engine of that transformation: it takes business needs surfaced by our IT Business Partners and turns them into well-architected, deployable, and maintainable solutions across infrastructure, security, and data.

We are looking for a solid, hands-on IT Solution Manager to lead this team. You will own solution quality end-to-end, raise the technical bar, and build a team capable of operating in a highly automated, human-and-agent collaboration environment (e.g. one engineer orchestrating multiple AI agents). This is a builder's role: the team today needs deeper domain expertise, broader solution coverage, and stronger execution discipline — and you are the person who establishes it.

What You'll Own

Solution architecture & delivery (~35%)

- Translate business requirements into clear, abstracted solution designs that can be deployed and operated in our systems.

- Ensure each solution accounts for the full picture — feasibility, risk, cost, security, and long-term maintainability — not just the immediate task.

- Drive standardization and reuse so solutions scale toward the All-in-One vision rather than becoming one-off builds.

Domain ownership (~35%)

- Provide technical leadership across the team's four pillars: networking, IT asset management, IT security, and data processing.

- For IT security specifically: data security, network security, identity authentication, and permission/access management.

- Own vendor selection as part of solution design, and (for now) vendor management — tracking terms changes, service quality, SLAs, outage/refund handling for software, hardware, and network providers.

Automation & human-agent collaboration

- Push the team toward high automation: zero-touch deployment, automated account & permission provisioning, and self-service workflows.

- Define and track operational targets such as account/permission provisioning success rate, average automated deployment time, zero-touch deployment success rate, and first-week access-gap incidents.

- Evaluate and pilot AI-agent-driven workflows and the hardware/tooling required to support them.

Project & cost management (~30%)

- Manage delivery across technical, process, and timeline dimensions; keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and mitigation.

- Contribute to annual IT asset and budget planning (hardware provisioning by hiring cycle and region), and ensure assets and costs are traceable and attributed to the right owner/BU.

Team leadership

- Build, mentor, and grow the Solutions team; concentrate development effort where it compounds and lifts the overall capability bar.

- Partner closely with IT Business Partners and the Service Experience & Knowledge Management team within a three-pillar operating model.

What We're Looking For

- 8+ years in IT solution/infrastructure roles, with 3+ years leading a technical team.

- Demonstrated solution architecture ability — proven track record turning ambiguous business needs into deployed systems (BA/SA, Solution Architect, or similar background is a strong fit).

- Genuine breadth across networking, endpoint/asset management, IT security (IAM, data & network security), and data processing — and the judgment to know when to go deep.

- Hands-on experience with IT automation: IdP/SSO, MDM, IAM, zero-touch/automated provisioning, and workflow/orchestration tooling.

- Strong vendor and SLA management experience, including SaaS (e.g. Google Workspace, Lark), network, and third-party tooling.

- Solid project management discipline across scope, risk, and timeline.

- Clear communicator who can engage both engineers and business stakeholders; comfortable with routine reporting on outcomes, budget, progress, and risk.

- Fluent English (written and spoken) for cross-team and stakeholder communication; working proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus given the Hong Kong / Shenzhen base.

Hard skills

- Solution architecture & systems integration — resume keywords: solution design, system integration, IAM/SSO, infrastructure architecture, security architecture, API/automation, technical roadmap.

- IT automation & infrastructure engineering — resume keywords: zero-touch deployment, MDM, IdP, scripting/IaC, workflow automation, observability, SLA.

Soft skills

- Requirement abstraction & translation — turning vague, cross-functional asks into structured, deployable solutions; resume keywords: requirements analysis, stakeholder management, BA/SA, cross-functional delivery.

- Team leadership & mentoring — growing capability and execution discipline in a developing team; resume keywords: team lead, people management, coaching, capability building.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to AI/LLM agent workflows and designing systems where engineers orchestrate multiple agents.

- Experience standing up or scaling an internal IT platform / self-service ("All-in-One") capability.

- Familiarity with cost/asset tracking automation (linking procurement, asset, and finance systems).
