We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Custody Sales Product Manager to join our dynamic client facing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the overall custody business strategy, overseeing team performance, and cultivating high-value relationships with financial institutions clients. Responsibility:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of custody sales professionals, setting clear performance targets and driving a high-performance culture aligned with the department’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain client relationship relating with custody business and future potential business opportunities.
  • Define and drive the overall custody business development strategy in alignment with Head Office direction, collaboration with front office stakeholders to achieve business targets.
  • Promote business development and cooperation and to achieve sales target KPIs consist of custody account opening, custody fees targets and Asset under Custody (AUC) targets.
  • Main contact person to liaise with Head office custody team. Understand strategic business direction, collaborate with front office stakeholders to achieve business targets.
  • Oversee and approve fee quotations, client proposals, and revenue projections; provide senior guidance on complex client needs, delivering holistic and tailored custody solutions.
  • Engaged with internal stakeholders to line up the book of work, taking business priorities in consideration and driving timely deliveries across line of businesses.
  • Critical role where candidate will partner with core teams to lead time sensitive sales programs effectively while managing both business and technology stakeholders to help capitalize on best deliverables to grow the business.
  • Familiar with global custody business models and products, good customer relationships with sovereign, bank and non-bank clients, and understanding of cross-border institutional investment and QFI/CIBM channels.


Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of working experience, with at least 7 years in a senior custody sales, relationship management, or product leadership role within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading sales teams, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding business targets.
  • Deep expertise in custody products, securities settlement, asset servicing, and cross-border investment channels including QFI and CIBM.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of identifying new business opportunities and translating them into revenue growth.
  • Effective communication with good interpersonal, written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese. Must have ability to write in business Chinese to conduct report upon HQ's requirement.
  • Ability to conduct market research and excellent report writing ability in business Chinese so as to meet with stakeholders' business need.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and grow corporate (MNCs, regional & local corporates ) customer relationship to contribute to bank’s returns.


Details as follows:

  1. Service existing corporate customer relationship by providing credit solutions and banking services to client.
  2. Explore new corporate relationship to credit-worthy prospects
  3. Perform financial statements spreadsheet and financial analysis.
  4. Conduct periodic Account and KYC reviews.
  5. Manage new customers account opening process.
  6. Scan documents for uploading to bank's loan system for credit reviews and / or credit applications.
  7. Drafting of simple ad-hoc reports such as call reports, simplified review reports, etc.
  8. Arrange for credit reports, call reports and other relevant attachments to be sent for filing.
  9. Liaise with other departments, such as Credit Admin, Trade Operations, Filing Room, etc. to search for required information which RMs needed for report submission.
  10. Attend to daily transactional applications, including tracking on the next rollover dates for RCFs.
  11. Attend to special ad-hoc projects assigned by Senior Management from time to time.
  12. Any other matters which may not be within the abovementioned scope but is of relevant importance to the department as a whole.


Job Requirements

  1. Relevant corporate banking experience of 2-6 years, managing a portfolio of corporate customers (MNCs, regional & local corporates) in various industries.
  2. To have trade finance product knowledge and ability to structure corporate customer's working capital requirement is required.
  3. Good communication skills.

1. Perform credit analysis for corporate customers and responsible for: review whether the case compliant with the regulation and the relevant bank's policy, reveal the main risk points, put forward risk control measures, determine the group overall credit risk and conduct client credit rating, etc.

2. Provide opinion for credit files reported to the pre-trial committee, undertake secretary work as required.

3. Conduct industry research according to respective responsible industries, revise the relevant approval guidelines.

4. Conduct commitment matters monitoring and other work regularly, put forward effective risk control recommendations for clients with early warning signals.

5. Complete other specific work arrangements by the department.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or above (finance, economy accountancy or related majors), skilled in financial statements analysis methods and understand bank related credit facilities

2. More than 3 years of relevant work experience, has the experience of credit analysis to corporate clients is preferred

3. Applicant with CFA, FRM and ACCA professional skills certificate is preferred

4. Strong financial and credit risk analysis and management skills

5. Strong communication skills, responsibility and team-work ability

6. Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese is required as incumbent is required to liase with Chinese counterparts from Head Office.

7. Good pressure resistance, can effectively handle multiple work at the same time, understand the bank's review requirements of financing products

8. Experience in Commodity Finance and Trade Finance is advantage
