Job Description
Our client is a well-capitalised private investment platform with a long-term investment philosophy and a diversified portfolio spanning multiple asset classes across Asia. Backed by a reputable family office, the firm actively invests across public and private markets, partnering with leading sponsors, operators and management teams to identify attractive investment opportunities. As part of its continued growth, the team is looking to hire an Investment Analyst to support investment activities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation and due diligence on investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, supporting the end-to-end investment process.
- Perform market research and industry analysis to identify investment themes, assess market trends and evaluate potential risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models, investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committee discussions.
- Monitor existing portfolio investments by tracking financial performance, market developments and key value drivers, while preparing periodic portfolio updates.
- Work closely with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders throughout transaction execution, including due diligence, negotiations and post-investment monitoring.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate or a related discipline, with approximately 2–5 years of relevant investment, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking or consulting experience.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities across different asset classes.
- Native or business proficiency in Japanese, with strong communication skills in English due to stakeholders speaking mainly Japanese. Proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous.
- Prior experience covering the Japanese market is preferred but not essential; candidates with strong investment fundamentals and an interest in the Japan market are encouraged to apply.
- A proactive, intellectually curious and detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
